About Me

Professionally

Serving the educational community has been my life’s work. I have been a school designer; teacher; school administrator; curriculum developer and coordinator; international motivational speaker; parent, administrator and teacher trainer. Since graduating from Northern Illinois University in 1969, I have worked with hundreds of families and educational professionals to make all children’s lives as rich as they can be.

During my career, I have been blessed with some incredible international educational experiences. Missionary work in Uganda was a focus from 1998 – 2000 working with Promise International at the Bweya Children’s Home. From 2001-2002, providing curriculum support for the Grand Cayman School System was a wonderful experience. As keynote speaker for the Association for Childhood Education International I gave time to meet my peers in Manila, Philippines as well as being able to interact with many of the children who live in impoverished areas. In 2001, I was named as a guest of the Hungarian government in Budapest to visit and provide unique insight into their school approach for asthmatic children. I served as Collin College Chairman of the Child Developmental Advisory Board from 2002-2010.

My life is full and complete. It brings me great joy to be able to work with children each day of my life.

My first granddog, Punkin, now lives at the Rainbow Bridge in Heaven. She loved spending time playing with me and I miss her.
